BlacknWrite is a website celebrating and promoting the work of creators of colour. Its mission is to bring attention to the numerous creators from diverse backgrounds who are producing great works and bring them to the awareness of wider audiences. The term ‘black’ used in the site’s name and content is a political marker rather than a marker of ethnicity. It is a term used to denote shared experiences and challenges in the face of inequality. I use 'write' simply because I am primarily a writer myself but the site is not restricted to only this form of creativity.

This website is an information portal for those who are interested in creative works by people of colour. It is a forum in which to explore the craft of creating, discuss a love of the struggle and share ideas and support.
It is also a resource for creators of colour and those who support and respect their journey.
The central philosophy of Black’n’Write is about promoting respect, harmony and recognition.
